Half-life of buspirone (buspar)?

Does anyone know the half-life of buspar?  Or, a suggestion of where to
find out?  Thanks!

Buspar’s half life is about 2-4 hours.  However, my guess is that there is  a
a more complicated question lurking behind this simple half life question.
    Am I right?

Yes, of course.  I’ve been taking Buspar for a few weeks (with some success
after trying Prozac, Zoloft for managing what I thought was atypical
depression.  But the Prozac made me too jumpy and caused difficulty with
sleeping, the Zoloft made me too sleepy during the day (as well as other
"common" side effects).  On the chance that I really have GAD and just need
a good nights sleep everynight to feel positive and alert during the day,
thought I’d try buspar.  Which seems to be working.  But, I wanted some idea
of time of onset, by-products, etc. to help me fine tune daily timing.  I’ve
received some additional information off-line which I’ll have to study. But
for now, the onset and effects seem to be quite rapid and it seems like I
can use it to respond to cycles of anxiety, highs and lows experienced
on a diurnal cycle.  Need to have more experience and study effects more.
My thanks much to all who have responded!

According to the AHFS Drug Information:

in a single dose of 10-40mg in a healthy adult the average elimination
half-life was 2-4 hours (range:2-11 hours) and appeared to be slightly longer
in females.  Elimination Half-life was not affected by concomitant
    administration with food.

    Hope this helps!

You are right, it has an active metabolite that is about 1/4 the
    activity of buspar.

Peak plasma levels following oral administration have been observed
within 40 to 90 minutes after a single oral dose of 20 mg.

As I suspected.  From my subjective experience, it seems to have a rapid
onset, than fairly quick taper off.  Which makes it good for my purposes,
adjusting mood and energy witin diurnal cycle.  Need more experience with
it, but seems to be better and safer for fine-tuning than other
    anxiety reducing, or anti-depressent medications.

The half-life of Buspar is HIGHLY variable,  In normal
adults it ranges from about 1 hour to 11 hours.
