  &quot;Take before meals&quot; is a lazy short cut way of saying, I believe, that &lt;br /&gt; the drug has no bad side effects on an empty stomch and is therefore &lt;br /&gt; most effect &lt;br /&gt; if taken that way. From my experience a doctor (Alopath) would say &#160;it &lt;br /&gt; doesn&#039;t really matter but of course it does, at least a bit. If you &lt;br /&gt; take it right before eating it will soon be mixed with the food and &lt;br /&gt; some of it might go down the tube so to speak instead of into the blood &lt;br /&gt; undiluted. But taking it just before a meal is better than just after &lt;br /&gt; and probably be better than waiting until 2 or 3 hrs. after, (since by &lt;br /&gt; then it is getting close to 1 hr. before the next meal. &lt;br /&gt;
