Has anyone heard of any complications from Imitrex for migraines?
Am trolling for anything re: cardiovascular side effects–angina, arrhythmias,
stroke, anaphylactic shock, death, heart attack, etc.

Hi, I’m Deb, Eric’s wife, borrowing the acct. for the day.
I am a TMJ patient. I didn’t have the jaw surgery (almost did), but went
the appliance/orthodontic route instead. I, too, tried many painkillers.
I did Darvocet, Tylenol #3, Vicodin, Vicodin ES, Anaprox, Stadol,
Amitryptiline, and Flexiril (not all at the same time).
Since the question was about Stadol, I will answer as best I can. I only
used it once, and I will never use it again. Stadol took care of my
headache, but it has a bitter back of the throat aftertaste, if you catch
my drift. According to my husband (who has seen me plastered many a time
on painkillers, mind you), he said the Stadol left me higher than he has
ever seen me. It also left me very opinionated, and Eric couldn’t stop me
from expressing those opinions for about 8 hrs.
We decided to go back to the Flexiril, which works just fine for me, and
doesn’t have nearly as many side effects as some of the other meds
(itching, hallucinating, severely upset stomach, etc.).
