There was much discussion at my physiotherapy clinic today concerning the
preparation of 10% hydrocortisone coupling agent to be used with ultrasound.
Although this is a frequently requested treatment for musculo-skeletal
injuries, I never gave much thought to its preparation. I felt that US gel
could be combined with the cortisone powder, but was advised that this was not
how it should be done. Does it matter what the coupling agent is? I would
really appreciate feedback. Many thanks.
