Is anyone familiar with a pharmacy database service called DIALOG?
Is it Internet accessible?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Dialog is a private service owned (or was?) by Lockheed, which tries to
make almost ALL abstracting services and various other materials
accessible by computer. Most libraries subscribe, although the cost can be
quite high, up to $60/hour connect time.
There is a subset of DIALOG, called Knowledge Index, accessible through
Compuserve (go KI). There is a wide selection of databases available,
including several medical and drug databases. The cost of KI is $24/hr.
It is very easy to use and is menu-driven.
Hope that helps.

I believe you can gopher to world.std.com and get access do DIALOG, but
alas I think you must already have an account or be prepared to sign up
and pay the big bucks. Haven’t tried it since I don’t have an account.
Good Luck
