Hi. A couple of days ago I posted a couple of questions here and got a
really good response so I’m asking again to get some more answers. A few
months ago my psychiatrist prescribed for me 16 mg of Perphenazine and 25 mg of
Desipramine. I experienced restlessness from the time that I started using the
drugs (in November) until now. My doctor now wants to increase the dosage of
the Perphenazine from 16 mg to 24 mg. I have several questions about this.
1) Will my body have become accustomed enough to the drugs that the increase
in dosage will cause no side effects (the side effects from the current dosage
have become less intense and have just about fallen off) 2) I heard that
Propranolol (Inderal) can be used to counter the restlessness I have
experienced. What are the side effects of this drug? 3) At the beginning of
going on the drugs I tried Cogentin, in order to alleviate the restlessness.
What happened was I got extremely tired. Was this because my dosage of
Cogentin was too high? What would be an appropriate dosage?
